Shibuya in Motion

While Deb was browsing the Hands store in Shibuya, I was left with a good chunk of time. I found myself back at the Shibuya “scramble” area, the famous 5-way pedestrian intersection full of people, bikes, and tourists. I was tired of taking straight street shots so took the opportunity to mess with the camera — trying to capture the motion and energy there. I ended up spending over an hour doing laps around the intersection just shooting. I used a variable ND filter to slow the shutter and captured some really dynamic images with almost painterly textures. There are a couple of things I would do differently next time, but overall I’m happy with this handful of photographs.
